This week I took part in a Gizmodo contest untitled “Inject Some Futuristic Sci-Fi into the oscar nominees”.  I took on Inglorious Bastards because its my fav movie (and the only one I have seen in the list of nominees).  I have put a bit of everything in it, but I think the result is fun… I had fun! lol

Recently I did some Photoshop work on a serie of photos taken by a friend of mine, Steve Mendoza. The photoshoot was based on Alice in Wonderland, and I had a lot of fun working on them. Steve just wanted to give them some kind of atmosphere, and I decided to go vintage on them. Here is the result:

The theme for this contest was to take any cartoon character, from any source, and mix them into a real-world setting. I picked Scrat because he is my fav cartoon character, since the Nutty Squirrel! I didn’t win, but its good practice. Someday maybe I will, I’ll just have to keep trying.

This contest was to take 2 or more fruits to create an hybrid. Here is an avocado crossed with a pear, and a broccoli. Have you ever dreamed of transgenic salsa? It might be good with tortilla chips (made of transgenic corn of course)

I entered my first contest with worth1000.com. The theme was untitled “six degrees of Michael Jackson, MJ everywhere you look. It was fun to do, and even though I could have used a more recent picture to accentuate the similarity with the nose, I decided not to.

The original picture was taken in a hotel room. I removed the environment and merged it with a photo stock from deviantart. I added the dragonfly and butterfly, and changed the mood of the picture to make it a bit more dramatic.

Roberta went to a 60s costume party and she gave me one of her picture to do some artwork. She wanted to be in a surrounding that matched her style, and I thought it would look great as a retro poster.

This picture was made using 4 different stock images I found in Deviant Art: the sky, sea, bird, lady and rock. I used brushes for the ray of light, tree and birds in the horizon.

The original picture was taken by a tree on a grey gloomy morning. It was part of a serie of photos that a friend of mine took for his modeling portfolio. This one came out as he was testing his camera, but I asked him to keep it aside because I liked the pose, and I thought I could do something interesting with it.

Veronica gave me her picture to work with. The original photo is Vero sitting on a step in front of a door , somewhere in Germany., I think . I turned it into a vintage forest with soap bubbles.
